Cover Wars: Betrayals by Lili St. Crow

Update: I'm going to just credit Sammee from I Want To Read That for the name 'Cover Wars'. I'm pretty sure she's not the first to use it, but I didn't think it was being used with any other YA book blogger, but after some browsing, I found it is being used by one of my followers! I apologize Sammee, I promise I'm not trying to copy you! Haha. :)

Betrayals, the second book in the Strange Angels series by Lili St. Crow, will be released on November 4th (UK) and November 17th (USA) Several covers of the book have been released, all of which feature narrator Dru as the main focus.

The first cover is the USA edition, third is for the UK, but I'm not sure where the second one comes from. One thing they all have in common besides Dru, are the young men in the background. I'm assuming in the USA edition, the guy on the left is Graves (what a cutie) and the guy on the right MIGHT be Christophe, but I'm not positive. Then again, all these people could just be cover fillers, I'm not sure.

My pick for this cover wars is definitely the USA edition. Though the UK one has more of a familiar feel to it, I like that the USA cover has a brighter red theme to it. I also like the absence of all of the people behind her, except for the two. Once again, not 100% sure who they are, but they spice it up!

Now it's your turn. Which one wins your pick for this cover war?

  1. I like the USA cover! It's more vibrant and clear! :-)

  2. I like the US cover. The other covers are too busy with all those guys in the background. Plus, I like the closer view of the girl's face. And the red colour works better.

  3. I'm definately with you, i prefer the US cover.
The color and everything just works better.

Admitingly, I actually thought that the UK cover was actually the US cover. Oops. I'm glad the UK cover isn't the US cover though. :)

  4. I really like the US cover, the red looks great!

  5. I, too, prefer the US cover. I prefer just the two guys in the background as opposed to crowd. I like the expression on that one's face, the one on the left.

I'm pretty new to the blogging world also, & I love your blog, so I'm following now :] Feel free to check out mine too!
