In My Mailbox (3)

In my mailbox was started by Kristi at The Story Siren.

This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen.

When it comes to relationships, Remy doesn't mess around. After all, she's learned all there is to know from her mother, who's currently working on husband number five. But there's something about Dexter that seems to defy all of Remy's rules. He certainly doesn't seem like Mr. Right. For some reason, however, Remy just can't seem to shake him. Could it be that Remy's starting to understand what those love songs are all about?

Willow By Julia Hoban.

Seven months ago, on a rainy March night, sixteen year- old Willow’s parents died in a horrible car accident. Willow was driving. Now her older brother barely speaks to her, her new classmates know her as the killer orphan girl, and Willow is blocking the pain by secretly cutting herself. But when one boy —one sensitive, soulful boy—discovers Willow’s secret, it sparks an intense relationship that turns the “safe” world Willow has created for herself upside down.

Told in an extraordinary fresh voice, Willow is an unforgettable novel about one girl’s struggle to cope with tragedy, and one boy’s refusal to give up on her.

So, not a good week book-wise. I didn't get a chance to stop by the library- I was at home holding down the fort while my mom was away. I don't physically have Willow with me right now, but I've placed a copy on hold at a mall in a different town- yeah, it's THAT hard to find. I'm really excited to read it though, I've heard nothing but amazing things.

I hope that in the future I'll start having at least more than three books to post about each week. I'm pretty positive it's just because I'm a newbie, and I don't expect to rocket off to popularity town so fast, but it's something to look forward to! I know that when some place finally hires me, I'll be able to afford one or two new books a week. But Michigan is not a good place to be money-wise lately. :[

That's it for now. I'm still patiently awaiting 50 followers so I can post my first contest! I think within the next month if I don't get eleven more, I'll just post it anyway, but for now- it's a goal. Happy reading to everyone else who got lots of good books this week! I'll shut up now. :)
