Waiting On Wednesday (6)

Waiting On Wednesday was created by Jill over at Breaking The Spine. It's a weekly post for you to share what upcoming books you can't wait for!

The Clearing by Heather Davis.
Publisher: Graphia.
Release date: April 12, 2010.

Amy, a sixteen-year-old recovering from an abusive relationship, moves to the country to start a new life with her aunt–all she wants is for everything to be different. In the clearing at the back of Aunt Mae’s property, she makes an amazing discovery—Henry, a boy stuck in the endless summer of 1944.

Henry and his world become Amy’s refuge and she begins to learn that some moments are worth savoring. But when the past and present come crashing together, both of them must find the courage to face what is meant to be, even if it means losing each other forever.

The cover is so gorgeous, I'm in love with it. I'm especially excited for this. I love "impossible" love stories like this! Can't wait!

  1. I agree with you on the cover, it's really nice. And the story's intriguing !

  2. Ooh, I love the cover, too! And I can't wait to read this!

  3. This looks really interesting. Sounds right up my alley too.

  4. I know the saying is to 'not judge a book by it's cover' but that's a gorgeous cover... I'd pick that off the shelf immediately to read the back. Haha (: - The story sounds pretty interesting; I haven't had any good reads, so I will be looking for this.

I also wanted your review/opinion of THE WEIGHT OF SILENCE by Heather Gudenkauf. I read it and I thought it was pretty good, so if you get a chance try it out. (: I believe it's YA, but not much romance. It reminded me of one of your stories, Hush. But yeah, I just wanted your opinion on it, since you have a great knack for eyeing the good ones.
