On Friday, I'm road-tripping to Pennsylvania with my mom. On Sunday morning, I'm getting on a bus. And eight hours after that, I'll officially be in New York to attend BEA, Book Blogger Con and other fun bookish events.
My family and friends give me a weird look when I talk about traveling twelve hours to do book stuff, but I couldn't be more excited. I'm in the process of scheduling posts, so the blog won't be totally bare next week. However, the weeks following will be a bit empty since I'll be staying in Pennsylvania with some family until the end of June. But I'll try to post when I can, and get online when I'm able.
I'm awfully shy. Emphasis on the awfully. So if you're attending BEA/BBC and you see me around, please say hi! I promise I won't be too awkward. Right over there --> is a picture of my mug so it might be easier to recognize me.
But if you can't seek me out by my looks, you could always search for the oversized Jack Skellington necklace that I wear 24/7 and will definitely be wearing at BEA. It's pretty hard to miss.
Also! I'll be staying at the blogger house in Brooklyn with a bunch of other cool people! I'm pretty sure there will be tweets and live shows and awesome stuff like that, so make sure you follow Casa De Blogger on Twitter!
And I know that last year, even though I promised myself I wouldn't, I watched enviously as other people tweeted from the events and I got some sick enjoyment out of it despite my jealous rage. But this year, I'll be tweeting from the events this time. I'll probably get some angry unfollowers, but oh well. If you're interested in what I'm doing, you can follow me on Twitter as well.
I guess that's it. If you're going to New York next week, comment and share your excitement! And make sure you say hi to me! Awfully shy in a large crowd of people = a lot of terrifying nervousness. ;)
