Top Ten Tuesday was created and is hosted by The Broke And The Bookish. This week's topic is books on your Fall TBR list, but this will pretty much be a books on my wishlist kind of top ten!
In no particular order:
Amplified by Tara Kelly.
After a year of pining for it, I finally got my hands on a copy of Harmonic Feedback recently. Unsurprisingly, I loved it. Tara's got this realistic charm and coolness to her writing and I can't wait to see more of it! Plus - musicians? HOT.
The Iron Knight (Iron Fey #4) by Julie Kagawa.
If you follow my reviews, you know that I'm a huge Iron Fey fangirl. Love the series. Have read the first three books about three times. I was sad when I thought that the books might end at The Iron Queen, so when they announced that there would be a fourth book focusing on (and I think it's in his perspective, as well) one of my FAVORITE literary characters, Ash, I did a big happy dance.
Silence (Hush, Hush #3) by Becca Fitzpatrick.
The ending of Crescendo has had me twitching impatiently for this book's release. Pretty much nobody has read this yet, except for the people who worked on it, since they're not printing arcs and you'd think that'd no buzz would be a good thing but gah! I need to hear something. Need this book!
The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson.
I feel like pretty much everyone has already read this and pretty much all of them had amazing things to say about it. I love epic fantasy and this seems to have all the workings to be a potential favorite of mine. Can't wait to read!
Kiss Crush Collide by Christina Meredith.
I've never been much of a contemporary reader, but I've been picking up contemps left and right and I'm becoming absolutely addicted. I'm especially a fan of the "opposites attract" kind of books, like Perfect Chemistry, and Kiss Crush Collide seems like it'll have a lot of that angsty goodness.
Past Perfect by Leila Sales.
Some of what I could say about the book above could be said for this. Contemporary = win! And that cover is adorable. Seems like it'll be a great, quirky read!
The Pledge by Kimberly Derting.
Love love LOVED The Body Finder and this is such a fresh, unique idea. I haven't really heard much about it, but I'm super excited to get my hands on a copy.
The Space Between by Brenna Yovanoff.
The Replacement was creepy and Tim Burton-ish and right up my alley and The Space Between sounds like it won't be any different. The whole angel/demon thing is becoming very overrated for me, but I feel like Brenna will put a new twist on it - hopefully!
Tris & Izzie by Mette Ivie Harrison.
Not too crazy about Romeo and Juliet but I do love Tristan & Isolde. This sounds like it'll be a lovely, modern retelling! (Can you tell that retellings are becoming my new favorites? I can't get enough of them!)
Angel Fire (Angel Trilogy #2) by L.A. Weatherly.
I'm not doing these in any special order, but if I were, this would be at the top of the list. Angel Burn kind of got swept under the radar when it was released, but I can't understand why. The first book was so amazing. Romantic, action-packed, scary, exciting, sexy and so much more. This is definitely one of my most NEEDED books this Fall.
