Fan Art Friday (85)

This week's fan art is based on Brightly Woven by Alexandra Bracken. I guess it's not surprising that I waited until last minute to do this week's fan art ... again. But I've been so swamped with work that it wasn't an option until now. I haven't been reading very many art worthy books lately, mostly just contemporary novels that I wouldn't be able to do much with. And since nobody gave any suggestions on Twitter, I figured I'd go back to my favorite book, Brightly Woven. This is my second fan art for this book (which is crazy amazing. If you haven't read yet, what are you waiting for?!) and it was sort of inspired by the background of the first. I like how it turned out, though it's nothing compared to the original cover's gorgeousness. What say you?

Thoughts? Yay/nay, awesomesauce or epic fail? Comment and let me know what you think of this week's fan art!

Ans if you've got YA bookish fan art that you'd like featured on Fan Art Friday, just shoot me an email at skellington28210@yahoo.com!

Happy Weekend!

  1. Yep. I'm still incredibly jealous lol I haven't read this book yet (don't hit me), but I LOVE the cover you have created. Amazing job :-)

  2. I like your cover much more than the actual book cover (I'm not really a fan of faces on books). The blues are gorgeous! I would totally buy this one because I do tend to gravitate toward books with pretty covers!
