Top Ten Tuesday: Sequels I'm Dying To Read!

Top Ten Tuesday was created and is hosted by The Broke And The Bookish. This week's topic is sequels I'm dying to read. This will probably be a mixture of released and not yet released books since I tend to drag my feet about buying books sometimes.

In no particular order:

Enshadowed by Kelly Creagh.
Nevermore pretty much broke my brain. I can't even form the appropriate words to summarize how incredible that book is. And while I think with a few tweaks to the ending, Nevermore could've been a great standalone, Kelly Creagh wrote the world and characters so good that you just simply want more. I've been waiting for this book foreverrrrr.

Angel Fire by L.A. Weatherly.
This one was on my last TTT. Angel Burn was one of the best books I've read this year and I'm absolutely dying for more evil angels and angel ass-kicking and Alex/Willow steaminess!

Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl.
Loved Beautiful Creatures, but like I said, sometimes I put a book on my wishlist and it stays there for a loooong time. I hope to get my hands on a copy of this when Beautiful Chaos releases so I can read them back to back without any wait!

Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick.
Another one that was featured on my last top ten list. Less than a month until it releases! *happy dance* The ending of Crescendo was explosive and such a cliffhanger. I am dying to find out what happens to Patch and Nora!

Hallowed by Cynthia Hand.
Unearthly was a surprising favorite this year. I never really fall in love with angel books the way I did with this one. But Cynthia Hand wrote an incredible, non-cliche story that shocked me and intrigued me and gah. I need the sequel ASAP!

Wings of the Wicked by Courtney Allison Moulton.
Angelfire was so full of kick-ass awesomeness and intensity and hilarity. February is waaaay too far away for me.

The Savage Grace by Bree Despain.
This is the third in the Dark Divine series which is one of my all-time favorites. I don't like trying to explain the series because I want everyone to have the same reaction I had when I first read it, but holy meatballs, these books are amazing. I was sad when I heard the release date has been pushed back but a tour is really cool and hopefully they'll send Bree to Michigan! That'll placate me. ;)

Perception by Kim Harrington.
Clarity was full of weird paranormal, love triangle goodness with a gorgeous setting to make this a great read. I've been eagerly awaiting this one since I finished the first book. Can't wait to see what happens next for Clare!

Wildcat Fireflies by Amber Kizer.
I really enjoyed Meridian. I thought it was a fresh, unique idea that hadn't really been done before. The ending didn't really satisfy me but I'm excited about the series all over again now that I know there's another book.

Desires Of The Dead by Kimberly Derting.
The Body Finder was like a genius pairing of a great YA paranormal and a kick-ass CSI television show. I really loved it (and I really loved Jay. How adorable was Jay?!) but this is a sequel that I've yet to get my hands on. Soon, I hope!

That's my list for the week. What about you guys? What are some of your must-read sequels?

  1. Great list!! I am also waiting for Silence - and I will check out Nevermore.

  2. im also waiting for a lot of those but i have read Beautiful Darkness which i enjoyed much more than Beautiful Creatures. And I've read Desires of the Dead and am very impatiently waiting the third one The Last Echo...

  3. Wildcat Fireflies is massive, way longer than Meridian, but there's so much more that happens in it. :) Plus, there's 2 more books to come.

Hallowed by Cynthia Hand - I want this book right now!!!

  5. Spellbound (Hex Hall #3) by Rachel Hawkins
Pandemonium (Delirium #2) by Lauren Oliver
A Beautiful Evil (Gods and Monsters #2) by Kelly Keaton
