Cover Reveal: Sally Slick!

If you follow my reviews, you know that I'm a HUGE fan of Carrie Harris and her awesomely hilarious books Bad Taste in Boys and Bad Hair Day. That's why I'm so excited to be a part of the cover reveal for her newest book - Sally Slick & The Steel Syndicate!

About the book:
Every hero has a story.

This one starts with a girl and a racing tractor. Sally Slick knows she’s meant to be more than a Midwestern farm girl. What she wants more than anything is to be an inventor when she grows up—and she has the custom-built racing tractor to prove it. But good girls in 1914 don’t go off to the city in search of adventure. Everything changes when Sally’s big brother comes back from Chicago with a robot in hand and mobsters on his heels. With the help of her friend, wannabe hero Jet Black, Sally will risk everything to protect the people she loves.

Those bad guys are about to get a giant wrench thrown right into their plans.

What are your thoughts on the cover? Personally, I am LOVING the illustration and how it seems to tell the story on its own with all of the characters - so cool!

Sally Slick & The Steel Syndicate releases December 3rd from Evil Hat Productions. (Ages 12 and up)

  2. I have never heard of this author, but the summary for that book sounds wonderful. It's hard to find good historical fiction. I just added this one to my to read list.

However, I am not sure how much I like the cover. Even though it ties in nicely with the summary, I am just not a big fan of cartoon covers. If I hadn't read the summary, I would've probably automatically skimmed over this book because of the cartoon-ish cover.
