The Nightmare Before Christmas - Come on. You guys know me. I'm super obsessed with anything Jack Skellington related. Even though I watch this a million times throughout the year, I still make a point to watch it specially for Halloween and Christmas since it's the best of both holidays!
Corpse Bride & Frankenweenie - I'm putting these two together because they're also Tim Burton films that I'm so, so in love with. Like The Nightmare Before Christmas, they're both funny and heartwarming with the perfect blend of weird and creepy mixed in. Perfect Halloween movies! In fact, I may have a Tim Burton movie marathon this year with The Nightmare Before Christmas, Frankenweenie, Corpse Bride and Beetlejuice.
Hotel Transylvania - This is a new favorite! So hilarious and fun!
Halloweentown - CLASSIC. Absolute classic. This is in the top three best DCOM movies of all time but it's also a must-watch for every single Halloween.
Will Vinton's Claymation Comedy of Horrors - When I was a kid, I wanted to be an animator. (That dream was shattered when I grew up and realized how horrible my drawing skills were) So I went through a bit of a phase where I was OBSESSED with claymation (Like Gumby and Wallace & Gromit!) so I was gifted this tape. It's a really short film but it's highly entertaining and my brother and I have a tradition to dig out the VHS player and watch it every year!
Hey Arnold: The Haunted Train - This episode TERRIFIED me. I didn't sleep for days. I really, really hope that TeenNick will play it sometime soon because I know that conductor at the end will still give me the heebie jeebies.
Reese pumpkins - Why are these so much better than regular Reese cups? Also the Christmas trees and hearts for Valentine's Day.
Spooky Nerds - Anytime a little fun-sized box of Nerds was dropped into my bag when I was trick-or-treating I did a little happy dance.
What are some of your favorite Halloween movies, shows and candy? Even let me know what some of your favorite past costumes were! I was planning on doing a bigger post with pictures from past years but I've just realized that all of my pictures are on my old computer that died last year! :(
Also, 13 Nights of Halloween Books begins tonight so keep an eye out for my first pick for a perfect Halloween book!
