Paranorman - One of the best movies I've ever seen. It's right up there with The Nightmare Before Christmas for me. The stop-motion animation is incredible, the ghosts story is awesome ... gah. I can't believe more people haven't seen this movie. Doesn't matter what age you are - you need to see this!
Beetlejuice - Creepy and hilarious and wonderful all at the same time! The scene where Beetlejuice transforms himself into a snake totally gave me nightmares as a kid but I still watched it every chance I got.
Casper - A Halloween CLASSIC. "Can I keep you?" YES YOU CAN, LITTLE DEVON SAWA, YES YOU CAN.
Anna Dressed In Blood by Kendare Blake - Holy meatballs. This book is so good. It's terrifying and hilarious and gross and romantic and so perfect for a Halloween read! Anna will forever be one of my favorite fictional ghosts, despite how murderous and disturbing she is.
Shade by Jeri Smith-Ready - I'll be honest that I don't remember much of the story since I read it so long ago and never reviewed it but I DO remember that I loved the ghost aspect to it! (Logan ... sigh)
Break My Heart 1,000 Times by Daniel Waters - This ghost story is so different. Instead of actual ghosts, they're called "images" and they're basically replays of some point in that dead person's life. Like their murder. Imagine a murder being replayed over and over again every day. So scary!
