Underworld - Kate Beckinsale kicks MAJOR ASS as Selene who is a vampire who assassinates lycans (an ancient species of werewolves) in a leather catsuit. Definitely one of my favorite vampire movie franchises and I'm crossing alllllll of my fingers and toes that there is another movie soon!
Fright Night - I absolutely LOVE both versions of this movie. I think the 1985 version didn't take itself too seriously; it was ridiculously creepy but also very funny. The 2011 version is definitely A LOT more darker but also has a bit of comedy. They're perfect for when you want to laugh and cower at the same time!
True Blood - I don't care what anybody says - this show is amazing and has stayed amazing throughout all of the seasons. Even though she's been a bit ... err ... indecisive? about men these last two seasons, I do love Sookie and her smartass comments. I also love any show that can make me abandon my fangirl ship for another. I HATED Eric Northman with a passion for the first two seasons and worshiped Bill and allllll of that has done a total 360 now. So sad that next season will be the last but I know it'll go out with a bang!
Drink, Slay, Love by Sarah Beth Durst - It's so outrageously different but that's one of the reasons why it's so amazing. Pearl is a vampire who is stabbed in the heart by a unicorn and well ... chaos ensues. I can't even explain how this book is so great but if you're in the mood for a clever, funny and unique vampire story then this one is definitely for you!
Vampirates by Justin Somper - Vampire pirates. Ohhh yes. This is one of the only middle grade series (or books in general) that I've ever read but they were damn good.
