Today I'm talking about some of my favorite WITCHES! This one was so easy that I actually had to narrow my choices down to absolute favorites. If I had mentioned everything, this post would be so ridiculously long!
Hocus Pocus - The greatest witch movie of all time and that is an undisputed fact!
The Craft - It's like a brilliant, dark and demented YA novel in movie form. This has been one of my favorite movies since I was a kid even though Fairuza Balk as Nancy scared the bejeebies out of me. That beach scene ... *shivers*
The Covenant - It's like The Craft but with boys. Kind of. This movie got so many bad reviews and only has a 3% rating on Rotten Tomatoes but for some reason I love it so much. It's a bit corny and predictable, yes, but it's good for when you want to watch a movie about witchcraft that doesn't take itself too seriously, has A LOT of sexy guys, action and romance!
American Horror Story: Coven - I haven't watched the previous two seasons but I watched last week's season premiere out of curiosity and HOLY MEATBALLS YOU GUYS. This show is incredible. Disturbing, scary and funny. It's only been one episode and I'm hooked. (Also I feel like I need to mention that I will be having Evan Peter's babies in the near future. Just saying)
Witches of East End - Even though I know this based from a book by Melissa de la Cruz, there hasn't been a single show on Lifetime that I've actually enjoyed. This is the exception. I like the magic, the history, the curses, the story ... pretty much everything except Freya and her love triangle. (LOVELOVELOVE Ingrid!)
Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl - This series is perfect for anybody who wants to read a great story about magic and magical characters. One of my favorites! Also, if you don't really like witches (or casters, as they're called) you should still read this because of Link!
The Near Witch by Victoria Schwab - This book is haunting but beautiful and romantic at the same time. Love it!
Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins - A much, much different take on witches. It's light and funny but still very engaging!
